In 2006, at the age of seventeen, I received a dental implant from Dr. Akram Rafla. At the time of the procedure I had braces and was looking to fill a gap I had due to a congenitally missing tooth. Heading into the surgery I was quite nervous, but Dr. Rafla assured me that the procedure would cause minimal pain or discomfort. I remained awake throughout the entire procedure, and was impressed by Dr. Rafla’s attentiveness and concern with placing the implant just right. Two years later, I am still very happy with the implant I received and have had no problems with it. Dr. Rafla made me feel extremely comfortable from the time of my initial consultation all the way through to my post operative appointment. I would definitely not hesitate to visit him again for any other dental work I may need in the future.

I dread going to the dentist and was terrified when I was told I needed a dental implant! I had no idea what to expect. I was referred to Dr. Rafla’s office by a number of people. I am SO grateful that I ended up in his chair. Everything was explained to me step by step. Everyone was wonderful! Professional, courteous, and above all caring!.... I think they could sense my fear! What I anticipated being a horrible experience, turned out to be just fine! I’m not planning on having another implant anytime in the near future, but if it is ever necessary, I know where I’ll be going!

I am founder and president of a commercial laundry business, and for 15 years I neglected my teeth. I was deathly afraid of going to the dentist. Finally an emergency arouse, my general dentist took care of the problem and told me I would need full mouth reconstruction using technology called implants. He told me that the best implant specialist in Massachusetts happens to practice right in Worcester and his name is Dr. Akram Rafla. After examination, Dr. Rafla sat down with me and explained everything in detail and answered every one of my questions. I’ve never, in any discipline, encountered someone with so much patience and such understanding of my personal fears of dental work.
The plan was to have Teeth In A Day, all my remaining top teeth were pulled and implants placed that same day. I took a pill the night before to help me sleep, and arrived at 8 a.m. to his office an absolute nervous wreck. I walked out of the office at 1:30p.m. feeling like King Tut!! The doctor checked me the next day and provided me with temporary teeth that looked very close to the final ones I have now. The following month I scheduled the same procedure to be done to my bottom teeth! After that was completed with as little discomfort as the top, I was checked on a regular basis as they healed until three months later when my general dentist began to make my new permanent teeth which I have today.
My teeth look like a movie star’s. Nobody can tell they aren’t my original teeth and I can eat whatever I want without worries, apples, corn on the cob, popcorn, etc., etc.
This technology is absolutely amazing!! I am so happy and feel so good about everything that happened. Dr Rafla and his entire office is first class and world class!!
